Questions Mumbai HR teams ask before they switch

Can factoHR handle our complex salary structures?

Yes. We support custom salary components, formula-based heads, variable pay, shift differentials, overtime calculations, and conditional logic (e.g. HRA based on city, special allowance based on band). Most factoHR Mumbai customers have salary structures with 10 to 25 components.

What if we have employees in multiple states?

Statutory configuration is per-state. You can have Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Delhi NCR employees in the same factoHR account, with each state's PT, LWF, and minimum wages applied correctly per employee location.

Do you generate the bank disbursement file?

Yes. We support NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, and corporate-account bulk transfer files for 50+ Indian banks including ICICI, HDFC, SBI, Kotak, Axis, YES Bank, Bank of Baroda, PNB, and others. Upload the file to your corporate banking portal and disburse in one go.

How are 24Q quarterly returns generated?

At the end of each quarter, factoHR generates the 24Q file in the exact format required by TRACES. You can validate it through the FVU (File Validation Utility) and upload directly. Annual Form 16 follows from Q4 24Q.

Can employees declare investments through factoHR?

Yes. The ESS mobile app has a tax declaration flow where employees declare 80C, 80D, 80E, HRA, home loan interest, NPS, and other investments. They upload proofs. HR verifies. TDS recalculates from the next payroll run.

What about loans and salary advances?

Employees can request salary advances or loans through the ESS app. Manager approval triggers a workflow. Once approved, EMI deductions start from the next payroll automatically and continue till payback.

Can we migrate from Tally or GreytHR mid-year?

Yes. Our implementation team will migrate your historical YTD data so that statutory returns and Form 16 reflect the full year correctly. We've done mid-year migrations for over 1,500 companies.
